Advanced Biodiesel Workshop

Apr 21 2007 - 1:00pm
Apr 22 2007 - 6:00pm
Etc/GMT-5
Description:

The Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) hosted the first on-site small-scale biodiesel production workshop in the Twin Cities at their new biodiesel facility. Participants got their hands greasy as Kai Curry, founder of Twin Cities Biodiesel Co-op, laid out the basics of biodiesel production on a home or farm- scale. Highlights included test batches and titration, small-scale reactor construction, and a 20-gallon batch in the 50-gallon water heater reactor. Several students are planning on moving forward with the knowledge they gained to produce their own biodiesel.

This course takes place over two days, in two afternoon sessions.
