Biodiesel is becoming increasingly available at retail locations around the country. In fact, biodiesel has become America’s fastest growing alternative fuel according to the U.S. Department of Energy. Production tripled in 2005 to 75 million gallons, up from 25 million gallons in 2004. And according to the National Biodiesel Board (NBB), the industry will produce over 150 million gallons this year. By increasing biodiesel availability, we can help to rapidly increase biodiesel consumption – which is good for the economy and the environment.
Local Biodiesel Needs Your Help!
Retail fueling stations respond to customer demand! Help us show them that there are lots of people in your community who desire this local, environmentally friendly alternative to polluting petroleum. Look for an independently-owned station that is located close enough to you to be a convenient stop for fueling.
Call, Go In, Write a Letter
Call them up, go in and ask when they are getting biodiesel. We have also prepared a letter 
that can be presented to fuel stations. You may use it as a sample for your own letter or simply print it out and sign it. Either way, the important thing is that we make our desires known. Be persistent. It may take some time and a concerted effort to convince a fuel station that the future is now. Don't be discouraged if the change doesn't come as quickly as you'd like. Your efforts are making an impact. Chances are that you will be filling your car with biodiesel sooner than later.
