Grace is a Political Science/International Relations major and a minor in International Development at the University of Montana. For four months she worked and studied on the island of Kefalonia, Greece, for A World Institute for Sutainable Humanity (AWISH), a non-profit NGO based in Washington state. She studied sustainable design, urban planning, sustainable agriculture communities, sustainable tourism and economics, as well as the language and culture of the island. Through their studies, she and 17 others proposed a redevelopment plan for a fallen village on the island, with the implementation of traditional practices and sustainable living. Grace strongly believes in the necessity of living resiliently and sustainably, and that culture must play a huge part in the formation of these practices. Grace has also helped with various projects in the Dominican Republic and has done volunteer work on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and in New Oreleans, Louisiana, among others. She is pleased to continue her advocacy for self-reliance and sustainable lifestyles through Sundays Energy Community Cooperative.
