WE ARE A PART OF EARTH DAY 2007!

Sundays Energy, along with 20 other organizations, is a proud partner of Wishes for the Sky Twin Cities’ Earth Day arts experience on Harriet Island.

If you haven’t heard about it yet, here’s some information about this exciting and unique project. A nature-inspired day of wishing and promising, Wishes for the Sky is a contemporary art event that invites everyone to participate in a work of public art. It is created by St. Paul Artist-in-Residence Marcus Young, Shen Pei, and their team of collaborators.

We invite you and your family to:
• Play the wind chimes sculpture
• Create wishes in the wish-making pavilion
• Make “Promises to the Earth” to adopt sustainable practices
• And fly a kite to carry your wish to the sky.

This project needs our organization’s help and participation. Here’s what you can do:

1. Please mark your calendars and save the date! Your attendance is important to create the art work. We have a goal of flying 1000 kites that day!! If possible, we’ll go as a group…times to be determined. We need you to make a wish on Earth day.

2. The project needs to borrow your wind chimes. I know it may seem like an odd request, but it will be a wonderful sight to see everyone’s wind chimes hanging together on the temporary sculpture, and it will create a joyful sound, a backdrop to the kite-flying. We will have a system to track and secure everyone’s wind chimes and return them to you after the event. More information about this later, but please consider making art happen by loaning your wind chimes!
